Royal Brunei Airlines receives 2014 REBRAND 100 Distinction
Congratulations to Royal Brunei Airlines for receiving the 2014 REBRAND 100 Distinction for their rebranding efforts! I like the new look but then again I’ve always been a fan of simplicity & clean designs.
REBRAND has a slideshow showing both the old and new design. As you can see, nothing was spared; the website got a (flatter) face lift, the planes were repainted, the in-flight magazine was redone and signs around the Brunei International Airport sported the new look.
The biggest surprise for me was re-colouring the Brunei Emblem a dark red, almost brown. All this while I thought it was required the emblem be a nice, bright red but the Wikipedia entry shows the crest in yellow of all colours. It’s a testament to the power of branding if it set my expectations without words.
The new design uses the Siri typeface which is available for purchase on FontShop & MyFonts and for subscription at FontDeck. Like much of mainstream media, Thin is In.
